Gabby Agbonlahor thinks Gareth Southgate is likely to recall Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling to the England squad next month.
Despite an eye-catching start to the new season, Raheem Sterling wasn’t included in England’s squad during the current international break.
The Chelsea attacker is a veteran for his country with 82 senior caps and 20 goals, but he’s not done enough to force his way into the latest Three Lions camp.

TalkSPORT pundit Agbonlahor believes Sterling’s early-season form merited another England call-up.
However, he’s predicting the 28-year-old winger will return to Southgate’s group during the next international break in October.
When discussing Sterling’s omission from the England squad, Agbonlahor told talkSPORT: “He should be in it. What I would have done is probably sacrifice a striker to fit him in… Sterling this season has done very well.
“He’ll be back in the next squad if he continues the way he’s playing. It’s only a month away the next squad. It wouldn’t surprise me if he’s back in that one.”

If Sterling can perform in the next string of games, we agree that Southgate will have to draft him back into the fold.
The Blues face Bournemouth, Aston Villa, Fulham and Burnley in the Premier League before the next break. There’s a Carabao Cup third round tie at home to Brighton, too.
Rio Ferdinand recently said Sterling should be “very disappointed” he’s been overlooked by England, as quoted by FIVE’s YouTube channel.
