AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham has reacted to former Blues teammate Ben Chilwell’s impressive display in Chelsea’s 2-1 win over West Ham on Saturday.

Chilwell was on the pitch for just 18 minutes, but he was arguably the most influential player on the pitch in that game.

The 25-year-old, who was still regaining his form after a long-term injury in the second half of last season, found the net to equalise for Chelsea and assisted Kai Havertz who scored the eventual winning goal.

“Boy I missed that feeling!” the England international wrote on social media after the game.

Several familiar faces, including Mason Mount, Raheem Sterling, Kepa Arrizabalaga and former teammate Abraham, were in the comment section on Instagram.

“He’s back,” Abraham wrote in response.

While Sterling, who had a hard time breaking West Ham’s resilient defence in the game, said: “Too Chilly.”

Marc Cucurella’s presence has allowed Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel to give Chilwell more time to slowly find his rhythm.

However, Tuesday’s Champions League visit to Dinamo Zagreb’s Maksimir stadium could be the perfect opportunity to put the former Leicester City star back into the starting line-up.

“So, so good from him,” Tuchel told Chelsea TV when asked about Chilwell’s performance.

“Nothing helps more than this on his way back to his rhythm.

“The guys who came [from the bench] could always make a difference, and it was like this today.

“So full credit to them.

“We need this, otherwise we cannot be successful.”
