John Terry has opened up about his desire to one day be named the manager of Chelsea.
Speaking to Stadium Astro, the iconic defender confessed to having Thomas Tuchel’s job in his sights.
Terry is gradually working his way towards becoming the head coach of a top-tier side.
Perhaps not his beloved Blues right now, but the process of taking over a Premier League team has certainly begun.

He first stepped into management properly when he became Dean Smith’s right-hand man at Aston Villa.
After Smith was sacked and replaced by Steven Gerrard, Terry returned to Chelsea in a consultancy role for the club’s esteemed academy.
Terry talks about Chelsea
Before heading back to Cobham, the Athletic reported that the former defender had registered interest in numerous vacancies across England’s top two divisions.
Opportunities at Preston North End, Sheffield United, Barnsley, Middlesbrough, Cardiff City, Nottingham Forest and Swansea City have all apparently passed him by.
But if the Chelsea dugout ever came available to him, the 41-year-old would be unable to turn it down.
“Yeah, that’s my dream,” admitted Terry about one day becoming the Blues boss.
“Obviously, when you’re a kid you want to play in the first team. As a coach, I’ve shifted this way now.
“The long-term ambition and goal is to be Chelsea manager, of course. That feels a little bit funny saying that because someone’s in the job and listen, we are still talking ten, 15 years down the line maybe.

“But I have to have an end goal and that’s it. It’s my dream. Hopefully, it happens. I’m on the process of doing that but a lot of things n that have to go very well for me.
“So, I’m being very patient in the decisions I’m making in my next step in terms of management.
“But being back at Chelsea is very pleasing for me. It was quite emotional when I first drove in.”
Please don’t tinker with Tuchel
Terry will probably have to wait a while before earning the Stamford Bridge hot seat.
Tuchel is still very much at the helm and should be for at least another season.
He has brought unbridled success to Chelsea since replacing Frank Lampard last January.
The Blues are both the reigning European and World Champions, not to mention having the UEFA Super Cup in their possession.
They could easily reclaim the Champions League and win a ninth FA Cup before the campaign concludes.
Achieve that and there is no way Tuchel leaves, unless forced to do so.
But your time will come eventually, John.
