Chelsea’s European football fix this season is coming through the Conference League, with them set to return to action tomorrow night.
The Blues will take on Panathinaikos in Greece, with Enzo Maresca getting another opportunity to look at a number of his squad players who will be looking to prove a point to the manager.
Meanwhile, the clubs they put themselves on a level with are taking part in the Champions League. It is a competition that a number of their transfer targets are taking part in.
Chelsea fans were impressed by Viktor Gyokeres after seeing him find the net again last night, with the Blues reportedly linked to signing the striker when the transfer window opens again.
Chelsea the last team to beat Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in the Champions League
One of the more intriguing games that took place last night was Real Madrid hosting Borussia Dortmund, with the holders finding themselves 2-0 down early on.
However, a comeback kicked off by former Blue Antonio Rudiger saw them eventually run out 5-2 winners at the Bernabeu.
The result saw them remain unbeaten at their home stadium in the Champions League since defeat in 2022. According to TNT Sports, the last defeat at that stadium took place at the hands of Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea.
The Blues were 3-2 winners in the second leg of their quarter-final tie with Madrid, however this was not enough to advance to the next round of the competition.
Will Chelsea finish in the top four this season?
Chelsea currently sit just outside the top four of the Premier League, with defeat to Liverpool at the weekend seeing them lose ground on some of the sides around them.

Many believe some of their results in the coming games will be key in whether they have the credentials to finish in the top four of the Premier League this season.
They welcome Newcastle to Stamford Bridge this weekend, before Arsenal make the short trip across London to take on the Blues too.
Despite only losing twice this season under Maresca, both defeats have come to sides above them, and they will need to prove they can get results in those games in order to finish in the top four.
