Chelsea duo Christopher Nkunku and Romeo Lavia are both yet to make their competitive debuts for the club.
However, there’s a feeling that the two players can make quite the impact at Stamford Bridge.
Unfortunately, both have sat on the sidelines in the opening months of the season due to respective injury problems.
Christopher Nkunku, 26, is a quality attacker with a fantastic track record from his time at RB Leipzig. He looked excellent for the Blues in pre-season before his injury setback, too.
As for Romeo Lavia, he’s been out injured since arriving from Southampton in the summer. The 19-year-old defensive midfielder caught the eye in the Premier League last season, though.

Chelsea excitement
TEAMtalk has claimed that there’s excitement from within Cobham about Nkunku and Lavia making their returns soon from injury.
In particular, they report that sources have said Nkunku has shown his true talent in training already during his brief time in West London.
There’s been such an overhaul of the squad in the last year that it’s hard to keep track. It’s perhaps a reason why Chelsea duo Nkunku and Lavia are also going a bit under the radar.
We’re pretty confident that both can bring a lot to the starting line-up, especially Nkunku as a goal threat.
Christopher Nkunku and Romeo Lavia fitness
There’s been a lot of positive noise about the return to fitness of the aforementioned duo.
Speaking via Football.London last week, Mauricio Pochettino said that Nkunku and Lavia are both in a “good condition”. Also, Nkunku is slightly ahead of Lavia with his recovery after training with the squad.
Fans are still waiting to hear an official return date that they can get excited about, though.
Chelsea host Brighton this Sunday afternoon in their next league game, so let’s wait and see what Mauricio Pochettino has to say in his pre-match press conference on Friday.
