Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has taken to social media to react to the return of the Champions League.
The Brazilian tweeted a crying emoji, suggesting he was gutted to not be playing in the competition this season Stamford Bridge.
Being the most experienced member of the Chelsea side, Silva is more than used to preparing for big games.

As the top four sides in the Premier League from last season are doing just that right now, the Blues can only look ahead to the next domestic game as what they have to look forward to.
Last night saw Silva’s former side, AC Milan, welcome Newcastle back to the competition with a pulsating 0-0 draw.
Defending champions Manchester City also got their campaign underway, surviving a scare at home against Red Star Belgrade.
Silva reacts to no Champions League at Chelsea
With big games going on everywhere you look in Europe right now, it is undoubtedly exactly what all the players in the game are looking to play in.
Silva took to Twitter to show how upset he was that the Blues will not be present this year.
The competition last year held Chelsea’s only real hopes for the season, and undoubtedly their best moment of a dire campaign when they hosted Borussia Dortmund in the first knockout stage.

Their efforts to return to the competition this season have certainly not got off to the best of starts.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side sit on just five points from as many games, whilst also only finding the net at an average of once a game.
Silva has started every game so far, however the return of Benoit Badiashile from injury in the coming weeks could see him become to play more of a behind the scenes leader role.
