Of all the players who left Chelsea over the summer, many supporters will point to one exit in particular who hurt the most.
Thiago Silva left the club on the expiry of his contract, bringing to an end a sensational four-year spell at Stamford Bridge that surprised many.
The Brazilian joined the Blues when he was approaching what many would see as the twilight of his career, however this did not seem to have an impact on his performance levels during his time in England.

Chelsea fans have continued to chant the defender’s name, something he has acknowledged with his thanks.
Off the back of the international break, Silva has visited Cobham again to visit some of his old colleagues.
Thiago Silva returns to Chelsea
He took to Twitter to send a message saying how much he enjoyed returning, promising he would see everyone again soon.
He said: “It’s always a pleasure to return to this special place. Thank you for your continuous affection. The feeling is mutual. See you soon!”
Silva has continued to show his quality since his move to Brazil, perhaps hinting that Chelsea could have benefited from keeping him around for another season at least.
Enzo Maresca sticking with Levi Colwill and Wesley Fofana
Enzo Maresca has elected to start the came centre-backs for every Premier League game so far since he took over, with Wesley Fofana and Levi Colwill getting the nod over their rivals for the position.
This has meant that summer signing Tosin Adarabioyo has yet to feature in the Premier League for his new club, with him being brought in on a free transfer.
The Blues have been prone to conceding goals, with them yet to pick up a domestic clean sheet.
They will have the chance to rectify this on Saturday when they return to action with the fixture against Bournemouth, however they will be without both right-backs after injuries to Reece James and Malo Gusto.
