Thibaut Courtois explained to beIN SPORTS he would ‘100%’ be cheering for Chelsea when they face Manchester City in the Champions League final.
Chelsea secured their first finale in this competition since that fabled evening in 2012 by beating Real Madrid 2-0 last night at Stamford Bridge.
Goals from Timo Werner and Mason Mount ensured Thomas Tuchel’s team strode through into the tournament’s conclusion with surprising ease.

The score line didn’t truly reflect how one sided the contest was in favour of those wearing blue.
Kai Havertz hit the bar twice, Courtios made some important saves and Chelsea missed several big chances.
But all of this is a distant memory now their ticket is booked to fly to Istanbul at the end of this month.
Pep Guardiola’s City will be awaiting the Blues on the 29th of May for an all English showdown.
Courtois was part of the defeated Madrid camp yesterday but admitted he would be cheering on his former club in 23 days’ time.

“Chelsea is a great team and I had some amazing years here,” said the Belgian goalkeeper.
“I would’ve wated to win tonight but we now didn’t, I will 100% be supporting them (Chelsea) in the final.
“I have plenty of friends and teammates here.
“I can only wish them the best for the final and I will be routing for them.”

It was not an ideal return to London for Courtios, who left on rather unsavoury terms to join Madrid in 2018.
He was a busy boy at the Bridge and was perhaps fortunate only to concede twice.
His open vote of confidence towards Chelsea may not sit well with the fans. However, it’s heartening to know they’re being backed by an ex-college.
