Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has given big praise to young duo Tino Anjorin and Billy Gilmour.

Tuchel, who was only appointed Blues manager late in January, is now starting to learn a bit more about his squad.

His side have started with four points from their opening two Premier League games with him in charge and they travel across London to face Tottenham on Thursday night in a huge fixture.

German manager Tuchel has picked out Anjorin and Gilmour as two rising talents that have caught his eye at Cobham.

“In the opposite sense, we decided to keep Tino Anjorin and Billy Gilmour with the group [in the January window], because I like a lot of what I see from the two guys,” he said, as quoted by Football.London.

They are both two rising stars to come out of the academy and the manager decided against letting either leave on loan.

Gilmour, 19, is the one from the two really pushing for a spot in the XI and he’s made 17 first-team appearances so far.

The Scottish central midfielder will hoping to force his way into Tuchel’s plans, as he was someone really starting to emerge under ex-boss Frank Lampard.

Meanwhile, 19-year-old Anjorin has made just two senior appearances all season.

The attacking midfielder has had plenty of game time with the Under-23s, but he’s always pictured in first-team training and Tuchel’s comments are certainly encouraging regarding his future.
