Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that N’Golo Kante will be available for Chelsea when they face Manchester City in the FA Cup on Saturday, speaking in his press conference.

A semi-final at Wembley awaits the Blues and City tomorrow, just days after their respective Champions League challenges.

Chelsea faced Porto in Sevilla, whilst Pep Guardiola’s side took on Borussia Dortmund at their home ground.

Both games will have taken a toll on the players, especially those who have had prior injury problems.

Kante certainly comes under that category, having just recovered from a minor hamstring problem.

He played the full 90 minutes against Porto on Tuesday, but may have been a doubt for the City clash because of such a quick turnaround.

However, Tuchel reassured Blues fans that the France international had been cleared to play this weekend.

The German coach said: “We have the green light for N’Golo, because we had three games in between which for him makes a big difference.”

This will come as a massive boost for Chelsea, considering that Mateo Kovacic won’t feature versus City.

Kovacic suffered a set-back prior to the Porto fixture and hadn’t recovered in time for the next contest.

Andreas Christensen is the only other absentee, with Tuchel relaying an otherwise full bill of health from his squad.
