Former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel insisted his spell at Stamford Bridge ended too soon and provided an update on his future plan.

The Blues’ ownership group announced their decision to sack Tuchel on September 9, after just seven games since the start of this season.

The decision did not only come as a surprise to many fans, particularly after the club’s summer spendding spree, but even to Tuchel himself.

Tuchel already released a statement via social media, in which he admitted that he was devastated by the club’s decision, a month ago, but he recently reiterated how much he enjoyed his spell in west London.

“I loved every day at Chelsea,” the German told Indian outlet Sport Star.

“It came to an end too early for me, but it was out of my hands. This is also what you sign up for.”

Tuchel has been in India to undergo Ayurvedic rejuvenation therapy, a local ancient medicine system, since October 12.

He has unsurprisingly been contacted by a number of clubs, but he wanted to enjoy his free time first.

“I haven’t made a decision yet,” he explained.

“It is now time for me to take a break. Some clubs have been calling my manager, but we agreed that he would not call me here for these past 18 days.”

Tuchel is a brilliant tactician, there is no doubt about that, and he will likely be able to get back into football management as soon as he wants it.
