Three of Chelsea’s summer signings have now been recognised for their strong starts to the season in a Best XI of players signed by Premier League clubs.

According to WhoScored, Malo Gusto, Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson have all made it into the best rated side of players made up by those who moved before the window shut.

A lot was made of yet more lavish spending by Todd Boehly and the Chelsea ownership team, as they continue to search for success in the only way they know how.

They smashed their club-record transfer fee for the second window in a row when they secured the services of Moises Caicedo from Brighton. He made the move to Stamford Bridge after rejecting a move to Liverpool.

He was quickly joined in similar circumstances by Romeo Lavia, who again looked at one stage like he would be on his way to Anfield.

However, it is neither of those that have made the Best XI, although this is perhaps understandable for Lavia considering he hasn’t actually played for the club yet due to injury.

Palmer was perhaps the obvious inclusion in this team, with his form keeping everyone on note in the game.

It has also seen him recently rewarded with a call-up to the senior England national team, with a potential debut coming in the next few days.

He has been joined in attack by Jackson, who has added a healthy amount to his goal tally in recent massive games against Tottenham and Manchester City.

As well as the duo in attack, Gusto has also made his way in at right-back.

Perhaps unexpectedly, he has played more often than not this season after Reece James has struggled with injuries, and therefore has had plenty of opportunities to impress in his first season at Stamford Bridge.
