Plenty of Chelsea supporters on social media were singing from the rooftops after learning that Mason Mount will be fit to face Southampton tomorrow.
Thomas Tuchel confirmed in his press conference that the midfielder had recovered from a small knock and would be available for the Premier League tie.
“Mason is back. It was not a long injury; it was a minor injury and we are happy he is back,” said the Blues boss.

This will be music to the ears of many cramming into Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
It certainly rang a sweet tune for those Chelsea fans on the internet, who typed a chorus of happy melodies to the tune of Mason Mount.
Here’s how they reacted on Twitter:
A Mount-ainous return
Chelsea followers had been sweating slightly over Mount’s fitness ahead of the league visit from Southampton.
He did not feature in either of the previous two fixtures after picking up a slight problem in the Carabao Cup win over Aston Villa.
Perhaps somewhat coincidently, the Blues lost both the subsequent games without the England international in attendance.

They certainly missed his energy against Manchester City and his ingenuity against Juventus.
Luckily for Tuchel, it appears he will be able to call upon Mount to help strike down the Saints.
Chelsea treatment table
Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for Reece James.
Despite being named in England’s World Cup qualifying squad, the defender is apparently still recovering from an ankle injury.

“When I saw it I thought maybe Reece goes with the England water polo team because right now, he trains in the pool,” joked Tuchel.
N’Golo Kante – isolating after testing positive for covid – and Christian Pulisic – ankle issues – are the other Chelsea absentees.
