Tino Livramento has taken to Instagram to send praise to Lewis Hall after his performance last night against Manchester City.
The Blues were defeated 2-0 at the Etihad last night, crashing out of the League Cup in the process.
There were a number of bright spots that Graham Potter will certainly take from that display however. Marc Cucurella looked far more like the player seen at Brighton, and the one the Blues splashed a lot of money on.

However, the story of the evening at Chelsea was certainly Hall. Playing in perhaps not his favourite position, the 18-year-old was the shining light for a rotated visiting side.
The only slight criticism would be that he couldn’t take his chances in front of goal. He had two good chances but was denied by goalkeeper Stefen Ortega.
Livramento praises Hall
Nevertheless, he impressed his manager on only his second appearance for the first team.
This seemed to impress a number of people in the game, with former Chelsea defender Livramento one of those to comment how impressed they were.
Livramento may have had hopes to be pushing to be part of the Chelsea squad at this stage of his career, with him being part of the youth team alongside Hall.

However, his desire to play first team football eventually saw him make the move to Southampton, where he impressed a lot before a serious injury stunted his growth.
Hall now will be hoping he has made his case to Graham Potter to compete for the left wing-back role next just this weekend, but in the weeks after the World Cup break.
Ben Chilwell’s injury has left a big vacancy in the squad, and Hall has already shown he has the quality to impress in that position while he is out.
