Chelsea co-owner and chairman Todd Boehly has reacted to his team’s 1-0 win over Leeds United on Saturday.
There had been calls for Graham Potter to be sacked after an underwhelming run in which Chelsea collected just two wins in their last 16 matches in all competitions, but the board, including Boehly, chose to trust the manager.
Obviously, a hard-fought win against a struggling Leeds side is hardly enough to justify the decision, but this time, the patience paid off.

Boehly was present when Chelsea secure their first win in seven games, and he could at least smile about it.
“It’s a result,” the American businessman told Sky Sports (via Football Daily) when asked if he enjoyed the game.
Potter’s future at the club could still be at risk, however, ahead of Tuesday’s second-leg match against Borussia Dortmund.
This is arguably what really matters.
A top-four finish in the Premier League looks close to impossible, but going deep in the Champions League may convince the owners that Potter can really lead Chelsea to compete with the Europe’s elites.
