Todd Boehly's reaction as Chelsea blow two-goal lead over Wolves

Chelsea failed to secure a win despite a two-goal lead against Wolverhampton on Saturday, and prospective club owner Todd Boehly was clearly not impressed.

It looked like it was going to be a comfortable win for the Blues after Romelu Lukaku scored his second goal in the second half.

All they had to do was to defend the lead in the final 30 minutes of the game. They did not.

Wolves grabbed their first goal in the 79th minute before Conor Coady dramatically scored an equaliser in the final seconds of the match.

Chelsea did not have the best run of results at home in April, with three defeats and two losses, and it showed.

LA Dodgers co-owner Boehly, who is the face of the consortium in the running to buy Chelsea, was present during the game.

It is safe to say that he did not expect his potential new team to drop two points after such a dominant performance in the first hour of the match.

Chelsea are now just four points above fourth-placed Arsenal and six points above fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur, each with one game in hand.

It is far from ideal, obviously, ahead of next weekend’s FA Cup final against Liverpool, but Chelsea will be under pressure to get a positive result against Leeds United on Wednesday.

Depending on other results, Chelsea could need a maximum of five points to secure a top-four finish.
