Chelsea loanee Omari Hutchinson took to social media last night to praise one Blues star for his performance in the win against Newcastle United.

Chelsea secured three points in the Premier League on Monday evening by beating Newcastle 3-2 at Stamford Bridge.

Blues-owned youngster Omari Hutchinson, who’s enjoying a successful season-long loan at Championship club Ipswich Town, praised Malo Gusto for his individual display yesterday.

Gusto, who’s still only 20, put in another eye-catching performance in Chelsea colours.

The all-action right-back was solid defensively against the threat of Newcastle’s attack last night, while also providing problems the other way when he raced forward with overlapping runs of support.

He uploaded a post on Instagram last night celebrating Chelsea’s league victory.

20-year-old winger Hutchinson was among those to respond in the comment section. He wrote: “Too good bro.”

Hopefully, Gusto and Hutchinson link up as teammates in the future when the latter returns to Stamford Bridge from his loan.

Malo Gusto against Newcastle

Gusto completely locked down the right-side channel against Newcastle with his powerful display up and down the pitch.

The French youngster is turning out to be a sensational bargain following his £26m transfer (Sky Sports) from Ligue 1 club Lyon last summer.

Speaking via Sky Sports during live commentary of Chelsea vs Newcastle, Gary Neville waxed lyrical about the quality of Blues full-back Gusto on a consistent basis.

The greatest compliment we can pay Gusto is that there’s now a genuine discussion to be had about starting Reece James when the club captain is back from a long-term injury.

You simply can’t drop Gusto right now when he’s playing at such a high level each week. He’s only 20 years of age, too!

Do you contemplate playing James in midfield? Alternatively, could versatile star Gusto be the long-term solution at left-back?
