Jamie O’Hara claims Chelsea’s Reece James is currently one of his favourite players to watch.

James, 22, reaffirmed last night why many people think he’s pushing to be the best right-back in the world right now.

Chelsea’s right wing-back scored and assisted in a 3-0 win against AC Milan in the Champions League groups stages, which has breathed new life into their European campaign.

The Blues star showed his attacking quality all night, producing a thunderbolt finish from close range into the top of the net.

For certain, the fan favourite is playing some of his best ever football and looks so confident right now.

Pundit O’Hara was left waxing lyrical about Chelsea’s 22-year-old after another great night from him, admitting he’s in his top five favourite individuals to watch.

O’Hara wrote on Twitter: “Reece James, sensational, no wonder Trent [Alexander-Arnold] can’t get in the England team.”

In addition, he told talkSPORT: “He is sensational. If there is any footballer I just enjoy watching, I think he’s up there in the top five footballers I just love to watch. The way he plays, the way he drifts around the pitch, he’s strong, good on the ball, good awareness, scores goals. What a footballer he is.”

The fact Graham Potter claimed last night James will get even better is a mouth-watering thought for supporters.

Chelsea fans are likely to agree with O’Hara that James is a standout player to watch when he steps on the pitch.

He’s such an eye-catching player that impresses both defensively and offensively, so Blues supporters adore him. It helps that he’s an academy graduate out of Cobham, too.

If you want to throw any other Chelsea names into the mix, the likes of Mateo Kovacic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek both showed against Milan how neat they can be in the midfield.

In addition, there’s not many greater sights than veteran defender Thiago Silva still bossing proceedings at the back.
