Trevoh Chalobah has posted a message on social media after Chelsea’s £5m player joined first-team training in pre-season.
The Chelsea squad is currently working at the club’s training ground during this second week of the pre-season schedule.
Blues head coach Enzo Maresca will be working tirelessly to try get his ideas and football philosophy across to the group of players. In a video on Chelsea’s official website, Maresca tells Noni Madueke to take less touches during a training exercise at Cobham.
The players get to try put their work into practice with the first pre-season match next Thursday against Wrexham.

Marc Guiu uploads message after joining Chelsea training, Trevoh Chalobah responds
Marc Guiu, who’s aged just 18, is one of the new summer signings to join the Chelsea ranks. He cost the Blues £5m (BBC) from Barcelona and is a teenage centre-forward with lots of potential.
Chelsea’s X account shared yesterday Guiu training at Cobham for the first time.
Guiu has now uploaded a post on Instagram after training with Chelsea. It’s great to see teammates Trevoh Chalobah and Andrey Santos responding in the comment section to welcome the new signing.

Should Marc Guiu stay with the first team?
It’s going to be interesting to see whether or not Guiu is kept as part of Chelsea’s senior squad for the upcoming 2024/25 season.
The teenage attacker only played seven first-team matches at Barcelona, scoring two goals.
It would be great for Maresca to take a proper look at the Spanish youngster during the pre-season schedule before deciding if he can contribute moving forward. If not, a loan spell to an English club would make the most sense.
There’s definitely room in the striker department at Chelsea to back up Nicolas Jackson.
