Thomas Tuchel apparently earmarked Tottenham Hotspur’s Sergio Reguilon and Tanguy Ndombele as potential transfers prior to becoming Chelsea manager.
Before he settled at Stamford Bridge the German coach had identified the Spurs pair as possible options for his priceless Paris Saint Germain team.
Le10 Sport reported last year that Tuchel wanted to take advantage of Ndombele’s dispute with Jose Mourinho and bring the French midfield back to his native country.

Tottenham’s £53.8m (BBC Sport) record signing has recently rediscovered his rhythm but the feeling of discontent still lingers.
RMC Sport (via Marca) suggested that PSG’s sporting director Leonardo also wanted to secure Reguilon services from Real Madrid at around a similar time.

Neither decided to pitch up in Paris and opted for England’s capital instead.
Tuchel is now gearing up to face one half of the duo with Chelsea as they travel to Spurs in the Premier League on Thursday.

Reguilon is set to miss the fixture due to a muscle injury but Ndombele has been an ever-present in Mourinho’s midriff this season.
The London derby should be Tuchel’s first real test as the Blues boss, having been largely untroubled previously by Wolverhampton Wanderers and Burnley.
Chelsea could move up to fifth and above Spurs if other results go their way, so Tuchel will hope his former targets don’t come back to haunt them.
