Tuchel to PSG
Chelsea have been dealt a blow in their hunt for a potential new manager, as Thomas Tuchel has reportedly signed a contract with Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain. The German, who was last in charge of German side Borussia Dortmund, is set to replace Unai Emery at the end of the season. Tuchel was touted as a possible replacement for Antonio Conte, whose future at the club looks very bleak, with reports suggesting he could leave the club before the end of the season.
Rudiger hits Out
Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has seemingly criticised manager Antonio Conte, following the Blues’ 1-1 draw with West Ham on Sunday. Following the draw, the German said this:
“I think we begged. We begged for the goal.
“I think in the second half we could finish the game off. But like the last few months, we didn’t and we conceded.
“For me, it’s not easy to explain. I don’t understand why after 1-0 we always drop and let the opponent get more ball possession.
“Like the last weeks again, we gave them a gift. I think that was the first chance they had.”
Kenedy Interest
Bayern Munich, PSG, as well as a number of English clubs, have asked to be informed if Kenedy is ever put up for sale by Chelsea. The Brazilian has impressed since making his loan move to Newcastle, and has attracted the interest of Europe’s biggest clubs. The Magpies are keen on turning his spell into a permanent one, but with a number of larger clubs reportedly keen, it could spark a bidding war this summer – should Chelsea decide to sell. It has been suggested that Kenedy will wait until the future of current manager Conte is settled before making any decisions on his future. It is also understood that no bids have currently been made.
