Chelsea certainly had a successful international break when it comes to how their players got on whilst representing their countries.

Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo in particular enjoyed strong performances, with them being named in the CONMEBOL Team of the Week.

Fernandez enjoyed an unbeaten break with World Cup winners Argentina, with him particularly starring in their most recent outing.

He picked up an assist for Lionel Messi, as they took another big step towards qualifying for the next edition of the World Cup.

This saw national media full of praise for the 22-year-old, with them claiming he ran proceedings.

Caicedo meanwhile was one of two Chelsea players who played a starring role in Ecuador’s two international fixtures.

Kendry Paez continued his excellent rise to form as an international at the age of just 16, scoring his first goal for his country in the process.

Caicedo meanwhile was the star performer in both games, despite them only picking up a draw in their last game against Colombia.

National media claimed that their opponents could simply not stop the club-record signing, instead having to foul him a lot.

Therefore, there is no real surprise that the duo have been named as a midfield duo in the South American Team of the Week.

Chelsea supporters will just be hoping that they have returned to Stamford Bridge unscathed, allowing them to return to action as soon as possible.

The desire will be for them to both start against Arsenal on Saturday, with them important members of the first team.

The Gunners provide the Blues with their biggest test of the season at the weekend, and Mauricio Pochettino will need all of his strongest players fit for them to have a chance at getting a result.
