A handful of Chelsea supporters on social media got behind Jose Mourinho after it was announced he had been sacked by Tottenham Hotspur.

The Telegraph first reported that Mourinho had been relieved of his managerial duties with Spurs after just 17 months in charge.

Here’s how some Blues fans reacted to the news about their former boss on Twitter:   

A crazy 24-hours in the world of football has just become even wilder with the latest development coming out of North London.

Declaration of the new European Super League got everybody talking, a competition that Tottenham will potentially be involved.

But they won’t be led by Mourinho, who was discharged from his post earlier today.

His time with Tottenham was certainly a topsy turvy ride.

He took over from Mauricio Pochettino in November 2019, guiding them to a respectable sixth place Premier League finish in his first term.

2020/21 brought fresh optimism for Spurs, who at one point were top of the table after defeating Manchester City.

They quickly came tumbling down from their perch, with their campaign ending in a whimper.

The League Cup final against Pep Guardiola’s side awaits Spurs in six days.

However, they won’t be walked out at Wembley by Mourinho.

Ryan Mason will take on the managerial responsibilities whilst Daniel Levy looks for the next man for the Tottenham dugout.
