Antonio Rudiger has made an unexpected admission about the finishing ability of his defensive Chelsea partner Malang Sarr.
Speaking to the club media, Rudiger revealed that the young Frenchman can actually strike a ball pretty well.
Sarr full of secrets
Sarr has certainly sprung several surprises since joining the Champions League holders in 2020.

His initial transfer from Nice raised some eyebrows, especially when he was signed at around the same time as big names like Thiago Silva, Kai Havertz and Hakim Ziyech.
The 23-year-old was then loaned straight out to Porto, increasing the questions around Chelsea’s decision to acquire him in the first place.
Upon returning to Cobham after a generally underwhelming spell, Thomas Tuchel shocked supporters by keeping the defender on board for the 2021/22 term.
After failing to even make the bench for any of the opening seven Premier League games, Sarr started to make his way up the food chain with several strong displays.
Arguably the definitive point in his Chelsea career came against Manchester City, where he played the full 90 minutes and coped admirably in the face of Pep Guardiola’s rampant side.
Shoot on sight
But perhaps the biggest revelation of them all came from the mouth of Rudiger.
“He has a very good shot. He doesn’t try it but he has a good shot. A really good shot,” said the German on his co-worker.
This comes with double disbelief, considering Sarr is yet to score for Chelsea.
In fact, he only has four goals across his entire senior footballing life, three with Nice and one with Porto.

According to WhoScored.com, the centre-back has only attempted one shot in the league all season.
Meanwhile, Rudiger ranks fourth overall for Chelsea with 32, behind Mason Mount (49), Ziyech (38) and Havertz (37).
If one man likes to test the goalkeeper, it is certainly the former Roma centurion.
Hopefully, we will see Sarr and Toni celebrate a goal together before the campaign concludes.
