Ben Chilwell teased Chelsea teammate Timo Werner by singing an infamous German chant about the former RB Leipzig striker in the dressing room.

Chilwell has been quite popular among the Chelsea fans for his hilarious social media videos in which he often makes fun of his teammates.

From teasing poor Kurt Zouma who just wanted to be left alone to recording his teammates with silly filters — you name it, he has probably done it.

This time, the England international seems to have stumbled upon a rather vile chant about Werner and decided it is time to show off his German skills in front of the forward.

He sang: “Werner ist ein h***nsohn,” which translates to: “Werner is a son of a b****”.

Werner and Kai Havertz were seen laughing in the video.

Update: Chilwell has deleted the video shortly after uploading it to his Instagram story — did he just realise the meaning of the words?

The chant initially came from unhappy Schalke fans who accused Werner of diving to win a penalty in Leipzig’s 2-1 win in December 2016.

It then went viral after two police officers taunted Werner with the song back in 2017.

Police in the central German state of Hessen eventually apologised and opened disciplinary proceedings against officers in the video (AP News).

The questionable song choice aside, it seems fun to have Chilwell and his easygoing personality around at the club.
