Journalist Toby Cudworth has claimed on The ‘Talking Transfers’ Podcast that Joao Felix is open to joining Chelsea permanently at the end of the season.
The Portugal international is currently on loan with the Blues from Atletico Madrid.
The shackles appear to be lifted from his game since leaving the La Liga side. He has been able to express himself in a Chelsea shirt.

This has allowed him to look close to as exciting as he promised to be when he left Benfica years ago.
Even with the recent formation change at Stamford Bridge, the 23-year-old has remained one of the first names on the teamsheet, even if he doesn’t feature for the 90 minutes.
Soon though, a conversation will need to be had over whether the Blues will look to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge.
Felix open to Chelsea move
Cudworth has claimed that the player would be open to the move, however the price would certainly play a factor in Chelsea’s thoughts.
He said: “There’s no deal in place with Atletico or no agreement but there is a hope that talks can be kicked off and they can get underway.
“Atletico do want to get Joao Felix off the wage bill. The only stumbling block could be that they are still going to demand a fee likely in the region of 100 million Euros.

“For Chelsea that isn’t a problem, as we’ve seen, and the player himself we understand is keen to at least speak to Chelsea and explore during this.
“It’s something that could happen, even without Chelsea qualifying for the Champions League which is a near on certainty now that they are going to miss out on the top four.”
The club will also have to consider whether Felix is worth bringing in after Christopher Nkunku joins at the end of this season, with the duo playing very similar positions.
