Reports have shared what Chelssa CEO Chris Jurasek said in a recent meeting that caught all the other staff off guard.

According to the Mail Online, the American had an interesting answer to the question of whether he was a Chelsea fan or not.

Jurasek is one of the members of staff who has been brought in to work under the Clearlake regime under the eye of Todd Boehly.

His hiring as CEO was a sign of the immense turnover of key staff that happened at the club in the first few months after the change of ownership.

It seems that some of these hiring and firings have gone down better than others. The departure of club legend Petr Cech from his role on the board was a particularly tough one for the Chelsea supporters to take.

Even though Jurasek has been in his new role at the club for less than a year still, it didn’t take him long to leave an impact on some other staff, although maybe not for all the right reasons.

Chelsea CEO leaves staff stunned

It has now been claimed that he was asked in a meeting for new members of staff if he was already a Chelsea fan before joining the club.

He reportedly answered the question by going on to say how he is not even really a football fan in general, and instead sees the sport as a product where making money is an option.

It has been claimed this response even left some members of the meeting open-mouthed.

There are plenty of people who are of the belief that the culture is broken at Stamford Bridge right now, and has been since the change of ownership.

Stories like this one only go in the direction of defending that point of view, leaving supporters truly wondering the calibre of the people that work for their club right now.
