Chelsea owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali have been in the headlines recently.

There has been talk about a rift between Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali, which comes after a very busy summer.

Chelsea were once again extremely active in the transfer window, making 11 signings, including the likes of Jadon Sancho, Joao Felix and Pedro Neto.

Chelsea fans were impressed with Neto in his latest outing for Portugal, with the winger helping his country to beat Croatia 2-1 in the UEFA Nations League on Thursday.

Chelsea owners’ view of club structure and squad

Chelsea fans are happy with Neto, and it seems like owners Clearlake Capital are satisfied with the squad they have overall.

In fact, it has been claimed that Clearlake believe that the club now have the right structure and squad to make it back to the top again.

Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol posted on X on Friday: “Clearlake believe that after a period of upheaval they now have the right structure and squad in place to take the club back to the top.”

Chelsea finished sixth in the Premier League last season, missing out on Champions League qualification as a result.

Clearlake will be expecting much better this term, especially after all of the money they spent in the summer transfer window.

Chelsea’s squad good enough to take them back to the top

With the squad they have, Chelsea can definitely get back to where they once were. The only thing that it is probably missing is a reliable goalscorer like Victor Osimhen, and he could join them in January.

After failing to land him last month, Chelsea could make another move for Osimhen in the winter transfer window.

Other than that and perhaps a top goalkeeper, Enzo Maresca‘s squad is not lacking much. The Italian has options in defence, midfield and attack.

His attack really got bolstered, despite Osimhen not arriving, with the additions of Sancho, Felix and Neto. Maresca just needs to get it and the rest of the team to click. Do that, and Chelsea could have a really successful season.
