It’s 2022 and Sir Lewis Hamilton and Serena Williams are reportedly investing in Chelsea.
No, this is not the start of some Comic Relief sketch.
Sky News dropped the bombshell earlier today that the two legendary sports figures will back the bid fronted by Sir Martin Broughton.
Between them, the pair are going to offer £20m to the consortium currently in the running to take over from Roman Abramovich.
Showing love for Serena
Many of us can safely say we did not see this coming.
Especially as Hamilton is a self-confessed Arsenal fan.
However, to have the king and queen of formula 1 and tennis onboard cannot be bad for business.

Not only for the financial incentives, but the even greater global outreach the Blues can achieve.
Williams has touched every corner of the planet with her on-court dominance across a glittering 26-year career.
Her prowess with a racket even reached Stamford Bridge in 2016.
A day after she won her seventh Wimbledon crown and 22nd Grand slam title, a certain iconic Chelsea striker decided to show his appreciation for the achievement.
Didier Drogba uploaded a congratulatory post to social media after Williams’ Wimbledon win, labelling her a ‘true inspiration’.
Imagine how could these two would be together in a doubles team…
Will Broughton beat the competition?
Fans of the Europe champions might be seeing much more of this interaction if Broughton’s bid is successful.
The group fronted by the 75-year-old should discover the outcome of their offer by the end of the month.
Todd Boehly and Stephen Pagliuca are in the same boat.
All three have secured serious support from various companies, businessmen and women, billionaires, and anyone with significant money since the sale process began.
But none quite in the same bracket as Hamilton and Williams.
Sir Martin Broughton’s phone book just got a little bit more glamorous.
