Eden Hazard has told Romeo Lavia he’s got the quality to be a success at Chelsea following his arrival at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea confirmed on Friday morning that they’ve signed Romeo Lavia from Southampton.
The Blues have spent £53million to sign the teenage midfielder which could rise to £58million with add-ons (BBC).
Hopefully, the 19-year-old youngster can settle quickly into his new life in west London and write his own history at the club. As a Belgian, Blues great Eden Hazard is surely someone he would love to emulate.

The former Blues star offered some extremely kind words to his fellow countryman, who becomes the latest Belgian to try succeed at the Bridge.
Hazard said to Chelsea’s new No.45, as quoted by the club’s Twitter: “Congratulations… Don’t worry, you’ll get the chance to show what you can do. We know what qualities you have. As a Belgian, it’s going to work out well.”

Now we will wait and see if Lavia’s in contention to make his debut when Chelsea travel to West Ham this Sunday in the Premier League.

Speaking in his first interview as a Chelsea player with the club’s official website, Lavia has already shared his excitement around working with with head coach Mauricio Pochettino.
His first job is to try force his way into the starting line-up for the Blues.
Chelsea looked strong in the centre of the park during the 1-1 draw against Liverpool with Enzo Fernandez and Conor Gallagher starting.
In the space of a week the Blues now have Lavia and Moises Caicedo as two new top-quality central midfield options.
