Maresca admitted last week he didn’t know when James would be back for him, causing more worry that his injury issues continue to refuse to leave him be.

Chelsea not rushing Reece James back
There has been no rush to get him back in action, with Chelsea even prepared to go into games without a recognised right-back on the pitch.
According to GiveMeSport, conversations have taken place behind the scenes at the club that indicate the club will be patient over bringing him back and deciding when he is ready for action again.
Recent reports have claimed that Chelsea are now looking at the transfer market in case the situation surrounding James becomes too much to carry on pushing on with him.
Real Madrid are massive fans of the England international, however need to be convinced that his injury issues are a thing of the past before making their own move.
Enzo Maresca should consider Josh Acheampong
Gusto will be looking to hold the fort down in James’ absence, but Maresca should look to alternatives for if the Frenchman picks up another issue.
One of those coming through the academy is Josh Acheampong. Maresca has already said he thinks he can become a top player.
Tonight’s Carabao Cup tie with Barrow could prove the perfect opportunity for the youngster to feature, with Gusto unlikely to be thrown straight into a starting role.
