Frank Lebouef thinks Chelsea’s Mason Mount is currently levels about Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes.
Chelsea host Man United in the Premier League on Saturday evening, with the aforementioned duo both capable of winning games for their respective teams.
For Mount, the 23-year-old is really growing into this season now after a slow start.
The attacking midfielder is now scoring and assisting in Graham Potter’s system, so there’s a lot to love about his game right now.
Fernandes, 28, continues to be an ever-present in the Man United XI at Old Trafford.
The attacking midfielder might not be at his glittering best like earlier on his United career, but he did score in the win against Tottenham in midweek.

Mount levels above Fernandes
ESPN pundit and former Chelsea player Lebouef definitely rates Mount over his Man United counterpart at this moment in time.
When asked who’s better from Fernandes or Mount, Lebouef told ESPN: “Bruno Fernandes two years ago was absolutely fantastic when he signed for Manchester United and made a difference, but right now what I see from him is far away from Mount’s talent… I will go for Mason Mount.”
In fairness, Fernandes at his peak level a couple of years ago was performing at an outrageously high level by dragging his side to results almost single-handedly. He’s just not operating at the same level anymore, though.
Mount, who is five years younger, definitely feels like a more consistent overall player. There’s a bit more flexibility in his game, too.

It could take a piece of magic today from one of the creative players to decide a winner between Chelsea and Man United, with the last four meetings between them ending in stalemates.
Mount has one goal in nine career appearances against this weekend’s opponents.
As for Fernandes, he has the one single goal in six games against Chelsea.
