Pundit Gary Neville has claimed that he was left stunned by former Chelsea star Mateo Kovacic after what he did during Arsenal vs Manchester City yesterday.
He stated during his commentary for Sky Sports that the Croatian should have been sent off for his tackle on Declan Rice just moments after being booked already.
Yesterday was a rough afternoon for Kovacic, who started without Rodri in midfield for the top of the table clash at the Emirates.

He seemed to be struggling as the primary ball carrier, and could well have been sent off for a terrible tackle on Martin Odegaard.
While he survived that, he went in late on Rice just minutes later, although somehow remained on the pitch.
It eventually didn’t matter for the result, with Arsenal winning 1-0 thanks to a late Gabriel Martinelli goal.
Neville stunned at Kovacic
However, what happened certainly stunned Neville, who was scratching his head as to how the former Blue remained on the pitch.
He said: “What is he doing? I think he should be off. That is madness from Kovacic!
“I think that’s a mistake, I think Kovacic has to go for that. I’m amazed he hasn’t.”

Chelsea supporters will have been watching that game still content that they parted ways with the 29-year-old this summer.
A midfield rebuild has seen them have the two most expensive players in their position of all time, with Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez beginning to get to know each other.
They both performed very well in Saturday’s victory over Burnley, and are forming an impressive core to the side with Conor Gallagher just in front of them.
