Bayern Munich sensation Jamal Musiala has been speaking about his time together with Michael Olise in Chelsea’s academy.
Jamal Musiala and Michael Olise were once both part of Chelsea‘s youth set-up and have now reunited at Bayern Munich.
The German giants confirmed the signing of the latter from Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Chelsea were also interested in Olise, but the winger will be playing his football at the Allianz Arena instead of Stamford Bridge this upcoming season.
According to The Athletic, the Blues pulled out of a deal to sign the 22-year-old because of the finances involved.

Jamal Musiala on Michael Olise and Chelsea academy days
While Musiala left Chelsea for Bayern back in 2019, the attacking midfielder did seem to enjoy his time in west London.
He has described his spell there as a “good time” while also praising Olise.
Speaking to journalist Maximilian Koch, Musiala said: “We played together in the youth team at Chelsea, that was a good time.
“We haven’t talked much over the years, but what I can say is that he has a lot of quality. You saw that at Crystal Palace, he scored a lot of goals.”
Chelsea’s attack with Jamal Musiala and Michael Olise
It is a shame that Musiala is no longer on Chelsea’s books and that the Blues were unable to sign Olise this summer.
If they had the two, Enzo Maresca would probably have one of the best attacks in the world.
Olise is an extremely talented winger, coming up with 16 goal contributions in just 19 Premier League appearances last season, while Musiala is not too bad either.
As per FBref, the Germany international has ranked in the 99th percentile for successful take-ons among attacking midfielders and wingers over the last year. Simply put, he is one of the best dribblers in the game right now.
Of course, there is no guarantee that Musiala would have developed the same way if he had remained at Chelsea. But given his talent, the Bayern star was always destined to reach the top.
