Chelsea head into this weekend full of confidence as Enzo Maresca’s unbeaten streak stretches on after winning in the cup midweek.

The Blues have gone from looking disappointing against Manchester City on the opening day to now going unbeaten in their last five Premier League games.

Enzo Maresca has a tough job on his hands this weekend to extend the unbeaten streak against a Brighton and Hove Albion side who are on an unbeaten streak of their own.

One of the talking points ahead of the clash with Brighton is Nicolas Jackson, who has been hailed as dangerous by Fabian Hurzeler before a ball has even been kicked.

Jamie Carragher has been looking forward to the Chelsea vs Brighton clash as he’s made his prediction.

Jamie Carragher made Chelsea vs Brighton prediction

Interestingly, Carragher has already admitted that he’s changed his mind about Chelsea this season after stating they wouldn’t originally make it near the top four.

Carragher and Neville actually predicted Chelsea to beat Bournemouth 2-1 recently, and while they got the score wrong, at least they now have faith in the Blues.

Now, when speaking on the Stick To Football podcast, Jamie Carragher believes that Chelsea will win 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.

Carragher stated.

“Yeah, 2-1 Chelsea.”

Chelsea vs Brighton head-to-head results

Chelsea actually have a brilliant record against Brighton, having won 15, drawn five and lost just three.

The last three results have all gone the way of Chelsea, but they’ve been close encounters.

2-1 and 3-2 were the scorelines in the Premier League last season, as well as a 1-0 win for the Blues in the Carabao Cup last September.

It’s going to be another close encounter this time round as two attacking sides go head-to-head with their unbeaten streaks on the line.
