Mason Mount was captured performing sprints on his own after Chelsea’s 0-0 draw with Liverpool last night.

Journalist Nizaar Kinsella posted a video of the 24-year-old warming down alone long after supporters had left Stamford Bridge.

Mount again was an unused substitute last night as the Blues limped to a 0-0 draw with a heavily rotated Liverpool side.

This is despite interim manager Bruno Saltor coming out after the game and admitting that he was available for selection.

It appears the Spaniard was wary that he was recently returning from injury, and was not willing to risk his fitness ahead of the club’s biggest game of the season in the Champions League.

Bruno did hint that he would be playing his part soon. Many supporters will be hoping it isn’t the final few matches as a Chelsea player for Mount.

Contract talks are currently at a standstill between the two parties, with them so far unable to come to an agreement on a number of factors.

This has for the first time in his career seen the chances of him leaving his boyhood club.

He will not be short of admirers too. Many Premier League clubs are reportedly interested in his services, whilst Thomas Tuchel is reportedly keen on a reunion at Bayern Munich.

Supporters will be praying that it’s not the end though, with it seemingly being forgotten that he is the consecutive player of the season in West London.

While this season has been nothing to shout about for the midfielder, the same can be said for the majority of the Chelsea squad who currently sit in 11th in the league.
