Chelsea’s blushes were partially spared at Stamford Bridge today as they rescued a point against Nottingham Forest.
The Blues went behind early in the second half, but had Noni Madueke to thank for getting them out of trouble.
The England international had a point to prove today with players in his position putting in a strong case for more minutes, and he certainly did that as he looked the most inspiring member of the Chelsea attack.

While the Blues were not able to find a winning goal against 10 men in the final stages, they will still be content that they remain unbeaten in the Premier League since the opening day of the season.
Madueke sparked interest with his celebration for his goal, with him heading over towards the home dugout after finding the net.
Madueke aims celebration at Maresca
According to the BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra commentary team, the winger had a message for manager Enzo Maresca.
He said: “Noni Madueke runs over in front of his manager Enzo Maresca and has a point and something to say to the Italian, and Chelsea are level.”
Pedro Neto in particular has been pushing for a start in recent weeks, however the boss stuck to his guns and gave Madueke another go on the right.
Whether this was the winger saying he told him so, or thanking him for another opportunity, remains to be determined.
Madueke called up to England side
Madueke will now look forward to his second consecutive break with England, with new manager Lee Carsley seeming to be a big fan of his.
It can be expected that he will remain in the starting side for now at Stamford Bridge too, with some big fixtures coming Chelsea’s way when they return from the break in a couple of weeks’ time.
The Blues take on the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle in quick succession, which will be a big test of just how good they are under Maresca.
