It has been a very interesting week for Chelsea in the transfer window.
Chelsea recently announced that they had agreed a deal to sign Palmeiras winger Estevao Willian.
The Blues will be delighted to have landed such an exciting talent.
At the same time, though, they have also missed out on Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise.
Olise was said to have been Chelsea’s No.1 target, but he is now set to join Bayern Munich, according to The Athletic.

Chelsea fans still optimistic despite Michael Olise failure
Despite Chelsea losing out on Olise, supporters are still trying to remain positive.
Perhaps in an ironic manner, some have taken to X to state that Estevao is actually better than Olise.
One Chelsea fan said: “It’s finally official, he’s clear of Olise in my book.”
Another added: “We don’t need Olise. We’ve got Estevao.”
One X user simply wrote: “Estevao > Olise.”
Another Chelsea supporter said: “I’ll take Estevao over the older expensive Olise any day.”
And to emphasise the point, again, another Chelsea fan posted: “Better than Olise.”
Can Estevao Willian become a better player than Michael Olise?
Being serious, Olise is obviously ahead of Estevao right now.
Olise is five years older than the Brazilian and has been playing in the Premier League, arguably the best division in the world, for a few years now.
Last season, he really excelled despite making just 19 appearances. Across those games, he came up with 16 goal contributions.
That being said, Estevao obviously has a lot of potential, hence why Chelsea are investing so much money in a 17-year-old.
Estevao, for example, is a really good dribbler. As per FBref, he has ranked in the 91st percentile for successful take-ons among attacking midfielders and wingers over the last year. Olise, on the other hand, has ranked in the 87th.
In the right environment, perhaps Estevao could develop into a more dangerous attacker than Olise. But you do have to wonder whether Chelsea will be the right environment for him.
