Chelsea fans are just days away from getting their first look at what the football is going to look like under the new manager.

Enzo Maresca is by far not the most experienced coach the club could have hired to replace Mauricio Pochettino. However, the long contract they handed him suggests they have plenty of faith in him.

It has been reported that early training sessions have gone down well with the team, many of whom may have been harder to win over.

Now though, they have flown to the United States to take part in a plethora of pre-season matches against some of the world’s best sides.

With the first friendly coming against lower league opposition in the form of Wrexham, there is an opportunity for the Blues to start off proceedings with a victory.

Chelsea sources excited about Maresca football

According to London World, sources at the club are excited about the brand of football that Maresca has brought to them, and are hopeful glimpses of it will be seen in the first friendly.

All of this build up is to the opening day of the Premier League season, where they will host Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.

A number of positions are no doubt up for grabs, with centre-back surely one of those where a number of players are looking to prove their worth.

Trevoh Chalobah left off pre-season tour

One player who is unlikely to be featuring in that role is Trevoh Chalobah, after it was announced he wouldn’t be travelling to the United States with the rest of his teammates.

This is reportedly down to an urge to sell him, however has clearly left the academy graduate absolutely gutted at how he has been treated.

It remains to be seen if Tosin Adarabioyo can be the one to profit the most on his potential exit, with him joining the club this summer.
