Chelsea’s players reunited on the training pitch at Cobham on Monday as pre-season commenced.
Enzo Maresca, the new Chelsea head coach, got his first opportunity to work with the squad.
It’s an exciting and young group that finished sixth in the Premier League last season, albeit there was a disappointment over failing to win any silverware.
The Blues have already sprinkled some fresh faces into the group, including central defender Tosin Adarabioyo.
Adarabioyo, 26, was snapped up on a free transfer after leaving rivals Fulham, where he accumulated great Premier League experience.

How Tosin Adarabioyo coped in his first training session
Journalist Simon Phillips has reported via his Substack some detail about Chelsea’s training session on Monday.
He’s explained that Adarabioyo was vocal and not shy during his first experience working with his new teammates.
The English centre-back was training as part of the Blues squad under Maresca. Will he play a big role next season, though?
Phillips wrote on Substack: “Sources had heard that one of the most vocal and supportive players on the day was Tosin Adarabioyo, showing some real leadership qualities.”
Will he get minutes at Chelsea next season?
There’s a lot of reasons why Adarabioyo should be confident of making a positive impact during his debut season at Chelsea.
He’s a strong, tall and quick centre-half that adds to the physicality of the Blues backline options. Also, the 26-year-old will remarkably be one of the older individuals in a very young squad.
The fact that he’s vocal in a new group on day one is very encouraging to hear, too.
A lot will come down to who Maresca prefers as his starting partnership in defence.
Adarabioyo will be competing against the likes of Wesley Fofana, Levi Colwill, Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile for a position in the XI.
