John Terry has now sent a message to Chelsea fans about Mason Mount – after the England international left for Manchester United.
The 42-year-old was speaking at a live event about the situation, where Simon Phillips gathered the quotes.
So, what did John Terry say about Mason Mount? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, the Chelsea legend revealed that he knows why the 24-year-old left Stamford Bridge, and claimed there are two sides to every story.
Terry said: “Mase is proper Chels through and through. There are always two sides to a story and I know the other side to it. I’m not going to air that tonight but there’s another side to the story. Let’s not be too harsh on Mason when he comes back.”
By come back, we assume Terry means when Mount returns to Stamford Bridge with Manchester United on Wednesday 3rd April.
At first, the five-time Premier League winner’s comments gave Chelsea fans on social media the impression that Mount was rejoining the Blues one day.

So far this season, the £55m man has failed to score or assist a goal in his two Premier League appearances for Manchester United.
John Terry could help Mason Mount by sharing truth about Chelsea exit
As things stand, Mount’s reputation amongst Chelsea fans has taken something of a hit after his summer exit, mainly after his father Tony was caught on Manchester United’s cameras talking about how Old Trafford is “home” to them.

After Mount was heralded as Chelsea’s poster boy for many years, that comment obviously upset a large set of supporters, so it could be beneficial to the midfielder if people knew the truth.
Of course, Terry is not entitled to plaster it all over the media, so hopefully, Mount himself can sit down in future and tell Chelsea fans what really happened in regards to his departure.
