Chelsea fans are going to have to wait to see Morgan Rogers in action, despite him being announced.

The Blues are embarking on an extensive pre-season tour across Australia and Asia to gear up for the new campaign. The Blues kick off their schedule in Sydney against local side Western Sydney Wanderers, before facing Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur, Juventus, AC Milan and Johor Darul Ta’zim.

Chelsea have also announced a friendly on the 15th of August against Xabi Alonso’s former side Real Sociedad at Stamford Bridge.

Following on from this, Chelsea kick off their 2026/27 Premier League campaign with a West London derby away at Fulham on Monday night, August 24.

But the pre-season tour will come too early for Morgan Rogers, who is set to link up with the Chelsea squad after pre-season tour to Australia and Asia. This comes down to the mandatory break that Rogers receives after being at the 2026 World Cup with England.

Meaning that Rogers is predicted to make his Chelsea debut in the clash with Real Sociedad.

Players like Jorrel Hato, Nicolas Jackson, Moises Caicedo, Mamadou Sarr and Kendry Paez, whose countries suffered early group-stage exits, will be back at Cobham this week.

After that Pedro Neto is back next week, then Mike Penders is back on the first of August.

Finally, players who went deep into the competition, such as Enzo Fernandez with Argentina, along with Reece James and Trevoh Chalobah with England, will not return until roughly August 9.
