Whether Chelsea are ready to play Moises Caicedo against West Ham on Sunday if he signs

Reports have claimed when Chelsea expect their prospective new signing Moises Caicedo to make his debut for his new club.

According to The Times, the Blues are hoping for him to be available as early as Sunday for the London derby against West Ham United.

It was reported late last night that Chelsea had finally agreed a fee to bring in Caicedo after a gruelling summer of negotiations with Brighton.

They seemed to establish the 21-year-old as the number one target to partner Enzo Fernandez in the middle of the park going forwards.

Based on the display the Argentine put in against Liverpool yesterday, there is the potential for one of the strongest midfield partnerships in the league.

Caicedo to make debut Sunday

He picked up the player of the match award for his performance against Liverpool., where he was easily the best midfielder on the pitch despite two new signings on show for the opposition.

Despite a strong performance alongside him from Conor Gallagher, playing actually as the deepest midfielder, it was clear to many just how much better the Blues would get if they did sign Caicedo.

That tension was finally put to rest late last night, with it now expected that he will complete his medical and sign today.

There is belief amongst the club that he will be available for selection when they travel to the London Stadium on Sunday.

Chelsea will be looking to get their first win on the board of the season, with on paper a promising run of fixtures to come.

Based on what supporters saw for the majority of the match against Liverpool, there will be an element of confidence surrounding their side.
