Chelsea recently welcomed another of their exciting promising youngsters to first team training in the form of Levi Colwill.
Thomas Tuchel called up several from his youth ranks to be involved with his training sessions ahead of the Blues FA Cup match against Barnsley, including Colwill.
Here’s five things you need to know about the 17-year-old ace:
Colwill has been listed at Chelsea since the Under-9 age group and has risen all the way through to Under-23 level.
Currently with England’s Under-17s, Colwill was well capped with the Under-16s before his jump up the Three Lions age group.
What has he done this term?
He has made 14 appearances in total in 2020/21 for Andy Meyer’s development team as Chelsea continue to climb the Premier League 2 table.
An injury sustained last season did not halt Colwill’s progression as he walked back into the Blues pack.
Where is his position?
Generally, he plays as a centre back but has been known to be deployed at left back because of his favoured foot. Colwill has also been known to feature at wing-back, which will be music to the ears of Tuchel, considering his choice of formation.
How long do we have him for?
The young defender signed his first professional contact on his 17th birthday last February, keeping him at Stamford Bridge until 2023.
