Chelsea have already completed the signing of Estevao Willian from Palmeiras, with the winger set to join the club this summer.

However, Chelsea could have to pay Palmeiras even more money later down the line because of one very interesting bonus.

The winger continues to shine in Brazil ahead of his move to England later this year. Estevao humiliated Botafogo defender Alexander Barboza in one recent game, which would have excited any Chelsea fans watching.

The Blues will now be hoping that he can do similar against Premier League opposition, having invested a lot of money into signing him.

Chelsea will have to pay Palmeiras £18m if Estevao Willian reaches 70 appearances with at least 45 minutes played

Estevao is one of the highest-rated youngsters in world football, so it is not a surprise that Chelsea had to pay a lot of money for his signature.

It is believed that Chelsea paid an initial €40m (£33.4m) fee for Estevao, which is a big sum for a 17-year-old, and are set to hand Palmeiras another €21.5m (£17.9m) if bonuses are met.

According to journalist Jorge Nicola, the Blues will have to pay those bonuses if Estevao reaches 70 games with at least 45 minutes played.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, he said: “A deal that was closed at the time for €40m fixed plus €21.5m in bonuses. These bonuses are linked to matches played by Palmeiras and also by Chelsea.

“Estevao will guarantee Palmeiras these €21.5m in bonuses if he reaches seventy matches played for at least forty-five minutes.”

With exits possible in the winger department at Chelsea this summer, it may not take too long for Estevao to get to 70 games in a blue shirt.

Estevao could actually replace Noni Madueke on the right flank, with the England international being linked to several Premier League clubs right now.

Two Premier League stars already giving Estevao Willian advice

Estevao should not arrive in England with zero knowledge about the Premier League.

His Brazil teammates, Manchester City’s Savinho and Nottingham Forest’s Murillo, have both been giving him advice and tips regarding the English game.

Estevao recently gave an interview where he said: “They come and talk to me, give me tips. Murillo, Savinho… I ask them how this is, how that is. These things are important for getting there to have less difficulty in adapting.”

Chelsea were actually interested in Murillo back in the January transfer window but were unable to get anything done. With Forest on course to qualify for the Champions League, a summer move is also probably not going to happen.
