Chelsea have announced their squad for this summer’s pre-season tour, but Emmanuel Emegha and Geovany Quenda are missing from the list.

Emmanuel Emegha hit the ground running for Chelsea, finding the net in both early warm-up friendlies, including a goal in the recent 3-0 victory against Bromley.

The Dutch striker looks hungry and has definitely staked his claim in Xabi Alonso’s frontline before the squad heads out on their international pre-season tour.

Geovany Quenda, meanwhile, has officially joined up with the group after finalising his move from Sporting CP, but Alonso is taking a slightly more patient approach with the Portuguese prodigy.

But the announcement of Chelsea’s pre-season tour squad has raised some eyebrows.

However, Emmanuel Emegha and Geovany Quenda’s absence have raised questions.
