Geovany Quenda, meanwhile, has officially joined up with the group after finalising his move from Sporting CP, but Alonso is taking a slightly more patient approach with the Portuguese prodigy.

The Chelsea summer pre-season tour sees Xabi Alonso’s squad embarking on a five-match trip across Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Malaysia, which includes a clash with Tottenham.
Chelsea have officially announced the squad via their social channels, and it’s a rather exciting one.
Chelsea squad: Sanchez, Jorgensen, Sharman-Lowe, Curd, Palestra, Acheampong, Fofana, Sarr, Tosin, Subuloye, Anselmino, Colwill, Hato, Emenalo, Lavia, Essugo, Walsh, Kellyman, Watson, Palmer, Gittens, Estevao, Kavuma-McQueen, Satpaev, Nicoll-Jazuli, Joao Pedro, Delap.
However, Emmanuel Emegha and Geovany Quenda’s absence have raised questions.
Emegha has picked up a hamstring injury and isn’t currently on the tour.
Meanwhile, Geovany Quenda that the reason he isn’t in the Chelsea travelling squad because he has a “small injury”, as per Kieran Gill.
