Chelsea are not being afraid to part ways with first team players this summer in order to bank some serious profit.

They have already made plenty of money on the sale of Ian Maatsen, who has moved to Premier League rivals Aston Villa on a permanent deal.

Omari Hutchinson is a player that they will also likely be coming up against next season. He has made his previous successful loan to Ipswich Town a permanent transfer.

While there will have been some remorse about selling these players who will clearly become quality operators wherever they ended up going, there are some they are far more keen to get off their books.

One of those is certainly Romelu Lukaku, whose nightmare at Chelsea has still not seen its permanent end up to now.

He spent last season on loan at Roma, where goals certainly weren’t hard to come by in all competitions.

The Belgian was described during his early time at Stamford Bridge as ‘world-class’ by Thomas Tuchel, however that affection is not shared by supporters.

Romelu Lukaku has chosen to join Napoli

There will again be hope that he can be sold this season, and reports from Italy have perhaps given them hope this could be on the cards.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the Belgian has chosen a move to Napoli, to reunite with former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte after their days at Inter Milan.

The report goes on to say that they are just waiting on the sale of Victor Osimhen before they can sign him, with the market seeming to dry up for the striker at the moment.

Chelsea were one of the sides who were most strongly linked with a move to sign him throughout most of last season, however that has at this point gone cold.

It looks as if Napoli may have to reduce their asking price to get anyone interested in that deal.
