Dan Burn has backed his former manager Graham Potter to change the direction of his crumbling Chelsea career.
Speaking to talkSPORT, the Newcastle United defender had little doubts that Potter would stop the rot at Stamford Bridge soon.
Burn has first-hand experience of the Englishman’s quality, having worked under him at Brighton & Hove Albion before his move to the Magpies.
But succeeding on the South Coast is little in comparison to the weight that is applied in South West London.

Whoever takes over Chelsea is expected to win at all costs, challenge for every silverware and beat the very best.
At the moment, the Blues are doing none of these things with Potter at the helm.
They are suffering some of their worst Premier League form to date, following their most recent damming defeat.
Graham Potter fails at Fulham
The 2-1 loss to Fulham on Thursday cemented Chelsea’s mid-table status, and further piled upon the coach.
Yet, some believe he is still the man for the job, including his former players.
“Yeah, I think he can,” said Burn when asked if Potter could alter his fortunes.
“I think he’s said in his press conferences that there has been a lot of change at Chelsea. With the change of ownership I think there have probably been a lot of changes right the way through the club.

“It takes a while, especially for a club that is used to winning trophies constantly.
“I do feel for him at the minute, everything seems to be going against him.
“But he never really gets too high or too low, and I’ve got all the confidence in him that he’ll manage to turn it around.”
It’s been widely reported that Potter has the backing of the board until at least the summer.
But if things don’t begin to improve, their feelings towards the 47-old-year might alter completely.
