Frank Leboeuf was not impressed by Chelsea defender Wesley Fofana during last night’s game against Brentford.
Chelsea suffered their fifth consecutive defeat across all competitions yesterday, losing 2-0 in the Premier League at home to Brentford.
The Blues simply don’t look like scoring any goals, netting just once in their previous seven matches. They shipped a couple of sloppy goals on Wednesday night at Stamford Bridge, too.
Football fans often go overboard when their team is going through a sticky patch, but this is now beyond poor from this expensively assembled Chelsea squad.

ESPN pundit and former Chelsea defender Leboeuf did pick out Wesley Fofana for some criticism this week.
He wasn’t impressed by the 22-year-old centre-back’s reactions when Bryan Mbeumo scored Brentford’s second goal at the Bridge.
“I’ve been nice to Wesley Fofana. On the second goal, I tell you, my young guy, you have to wake up,” Lebouef told ESPN.
In fairness, he’s not the only pundit to single the French centre-half out for criticism. Owen Hargreaves claims Fofana was “lazy in his defending” when Mbeumo scored.

Fofana’s been one of Chelsea’s better players lately, so you know it’s bad when he’s coming in for some heavy criticism.
The players somehow need to lift themselves for the next six games!
Surely, they’re going to be embarrassed about the run they’re on. Also, the next permanent manager must be looking on and judging harshly some of the players in the squad.
We do think Fofana is one of the few in last night’s starting line-up that can be vital moving forward.
He does usually defend aggressively with his strength and pace, but he allowed Mbeumo far too much time in the box to take his shot.
Chelsea are in for a torturous trip to the Emirates Stadium next week when they face Arsenal unless they fix up.
