Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount said he is “very happy” at Stamford Bridge amid reported ongoing talks over a contract extension.
It has been over three years since the versatile midfielder made his Chelsea debut under Frank Lampard in 2018/19.
He has since established himself as a mainstay for both Chelsea and England national team and a star off the pitch.
It is hardly a surprise that the 23-year-old has been on the covers of fashion magazines, including Tatler’s December issue.
In the interview with the magazine, Mount had to answer a few interesting questions.
One of them is if he would consider leaving Chelsea if he had been offered a £100million move, similar to Jack Grealish’s transfer to Manchester City last year.
The question had caught the midfielder by surprise before he made his desire to stay in west London clear.
“I dunno… The money is…” the England international responded to Tatler Magazine.
“I’ve always obviously been a Chelsea boy. I’m very, very happy here.
“We’ve been winning some silverware, which is a big goal of mine, I always want to win things.”

Being from Portsmouth, Mount grew up as a Pompey fan. But he has also been at Chelsea since he was six and signed for the club at the under-9 age group.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have been in talks with Mount, whose current contract with the club ends in 2024, over a new deal.
“Chelsea owners, board, and manager are all on the same page,” the journalist wrote on Twitter earlier this week.
“Extending Mason Mount’s contract is a priority. Work in progress.”
